Moved my server over to some new hardware and it's definitely faster. Housing an AMD Athlon64 3500+ and 2GB of RAM, this machine far outpaces my old VIA based machine. Pages are now loading in 10s of milliseconds instead of 100s. What does this mean? Nothing really, just felt the need to post about it. Maybe I'll post here more often in the future...
As far as life, I've done so much stuff in the past two years that it would take forever to go through it all. Still working for CCS and driving 150 miles to do so. Hopefully moving soon so that's exciting.

Gasp! What is this!
Don't worry, this is still mekius.net, just redesigned. I needed a way to teach myself CodeIgniter (the MVC framework I settled on after about 2 days of researching/testing multiple frameworks). Since my site is fairly simple I decided it would make a good candidate.
Most of the site is pretty much the same. Obviously the layout has changed a bit, but I kept the top header because I thought it looked nice. I got rid of the left bar as it really cramped things on smaller resolutions. This layout is quite readable on my Palm Centro (320x320) (after a few tweaks for handhelds in the CSS anyway). I know the logo is terrible. If anyone would like to donate their talents there, just make sure it fits in that white box and has a transparent background ;)
As far as feature changes, my news (I'm not a fan of the words blog, journal, etc) section is about the only thing that's changed. There is now a way to comment on my posts, just click the line on the lower right there. Unfortunately I haven't bothered to build an RSS feed yet and most likely will not bother unless someone really wants to hear me ramble :P
If you think I need to add something, let me know. I'm always up for a challenge. I'm also open to listen to any website projects you would like to realize. Can't promise I'll have the time to do them, but if it's interesting enough I can make time ;)
